Genuine Blue Star Sapphire Ring

This is a genuine Blue Star Sapphire ring that I designed for my wife.
You can see the line rolling across the top of the ring.

The ring has a wide band and really looks nice.

I miss the days when I got to make rings like this and people were willing to pay a fair price for my labor and skills.
It was fun for about 25 years though.

Religious Candles

I sell religious candles in my store. I carry candles that you will not find in the bigger stores around town.
I carry quite a few different seven day candles.
I'll be posting a list on this blog real soon.

Whatcha doin?

I love this guy. He's just kind of hanging out, looking all sweet and innocent. He's really bored He's kind of thinking about getting himself into trouble, but he's not quite motivated.
He needs someone to chat with, someone to tease, someone to post something witty, so he can suddenly come alive with ideas about what to do.
So...
whatcha doin? You can post comments here, if you dare.

Across the Street from My Store

This is the view directly across the street from my store. The building on the right is the County Library side Entrance.
The builiding on the left is the Hockley County Courthouse.
And yes, there's my truck that tells you I'm in the store.
I'm lucky enough to have a huge awning over the front of the building.
This picture was taken on a Sunday. I'm almost always open on Sundays. Note the abundance of Sunday parking, unlike during the week.

Store Shot 3

This is a view looking out the front. Yep, there's my truck, which to my customers means I'm open for business.
Directly across the street is our County Library and the County Court House. I call them the Levelland Pyramids because they are made with these huge white blocks of stone.
I've been pulling up carpet a section at a time. I think the carpet may have been from the 60's or even farther back in time. I'm using temporary carpets until I'm ready to install a final flooring. My customers just care about low prices.

Store Shot 2 Front Right

Store front right as you walk into store.
I'm going to put the taller shelves back where the short shelves are. The sunlight comes in through the front window. The glare drives me crazy and the windows are not tinted, so I have to worry about candles, book covers, and artwork fading if I leave it open through the summer months.
I also prefer the privacy of the shelves blocking the view into the store during my open hours. I must admit though, the view at night is nice.

Store Shot 1

Come on in and visit. Living in a small town, I don't worry about long lines of people coming in, so you can come in just about anytime to visit. Well, you can, if I'm open. Since I'm teaching at the college again this semester, my hours have changed. Hey, it's winter. I'm doing my part to save on heating bills.
This picture makes my store look small, but it's just one area. I'm ripping up old carpet in the other parts, so I have cases moved up front.
I change things around as I get more carpet up, so be patient. More pictures coming.
